Point of this was to demonstrate a few things. For one, an Ovation is not made from plastic. If this was a plastic guitar, it would have shattered from all the bullets passing thru it. It's also a durability test. I nearly blew out almost every brace and the guitar remains together and in good playing condition to this day. It's also traveled with us all over the country. Most likely, your guitar wont get shot - but it deals with stresses all day long. The climate, or the hot stage lights, or the roadie who ain't gentle, or the luggage handler at the airport, or the trunk of your car or van, or the other equipment bouncing into your guitar create tough conditions for an acoustic guitar/ We want our guitars to last and provide a lifetime of service. This sacrificial lamb was a humble Celebrity CC48.
